Trinity Criner
Undergraduate Student
Trinity is a senior double majoring in Honors Sciences and the Humanities (HSH) and Biology, with a minor in Chemistry, and is set to graduate in December 2025. As a premed student, her goal is to attend medical school and become a pediatric cardiologist. In the lab, she is particularly interested in research related to wellness and recovery, especially in how psychological factors influence health outcomes. Outside of the lab, she enjoys volunteering at the hospital, spending time with friends, reading fiction, and painting—though artistic skills are still a work in progress!

Baiyu Qi
Ph.D. Student
Baiyu Qi is a fifth-year doctoral student in epidemiology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her research focuses on understanding shared genetic risks between eating disorders and their comorbidities, including substance use and cardiometabolic disorders. Driven by her passion for understanding these complex comorbidities, she aspires to become an independent researcher dedicated to exploring both genetic and environmental risk factors, especially among understudied populations. Outside of her research, she enjoys cooking, knitting, and spending time with her four beloved cats.

Jennifer Marable
Project Manager
With a diverse background in biomedical research, health & fitness coaching, and data science; Jennifer comes to the team with a passion for problem solving, helping people, and learning new things. She has long had an interest in the intersection of genetics with behavioral, physical, and mental health. An ever-observant empath, she is a runner, a mother, and an enthusiastic scientist, always looking for ways to solve problems and use data to better our human experience. As a graduate of Texas Tech University, Texas Tech Health Sciences Center, and TTU Rawls College of Business, she is excited to once again (still) be a Red Raider!

Kaitlin Lutz
Undergraduate Student
Kaitlin Lutz is an undergraduate research assistant for the CEDAR Lab. She is a second year Pre-Occupational Therapy student with a major in Human Development and Family Sciences. After graduation, she plans to attend Occupational Therapy school to pursue a Doctorate in Occupational Therapy. In her free time she enjoys reading, baking, and spending time with loved ones.
