CEDAR Lab Alumni

Haylee Boren graduated in December 2024 with a B.S. degree in Nutrition. She completed her degree on the pre-medicine track, with minors in addictive disorders and recovery studies and chemistry. Post graduation, she plans to prepare and apply for medical school, where she ultimately aims to pursue a career as a physician and prioritize the health and upmost care for others. As an undergraduate research assistant in Dr. Munn-Chernoff's lab, she helped to study the correlations of metabolic health and mental health overall, as well as the individual components of these topics.

Baiyu Qi earned her Ph.D. in epidemiology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Her research focuses on understanding shared genetic risks between eating disorders and their comorbidities, including substance use and cardiometabolic disorders. Driven by her passion for understanding these complex comorbidities, she is dedicated to exploring both genetic and environmental risk factors, especially among understudied populations. Outside of her research, she enjoys cooking, knitting, and spending time with her four beloved cats.
